Miroslav Vitous - First Meeting (Vinyl, LP, Album)

  1. Recorded over a year after Chick Corea's debut Tones for Joan's Bones-- a record cut in late but not appearing until -- Now He Sings, Now He Sobs feels like his true first album, the place where he put all the pieces in motion for his long, adventurous career. Much of that has to do with the closed quarters of its recording. Supported by drummer Roy Haynes and bassist Miroslav Vitous Price: $
  2. In Vitous recorded one of his best albums as a leader, "First Meeting." This album included John Surman on saxophone and clarinet, Kenny Kirkland on piano, and Jon Christensen on drums. His follow-up album to that, simply called "Miroslav Vitous Group," (which I have yet to find), was recorded shortly there after and included the same line-up/5(8).
  3. Miroslav Vitous. Infinite Search LP (Item ) Vortex, Out Of Stock LP, Vinyl record album. John Banister Preshitoric Times. Jazz Chronicles, Very Good- LP $ A brilliant album – and real turning point for Herbie Hancock! After first coming onto the scene as the soul jazz hero between Blue Note funky classics.

Miroslav Vitous — First Meeting CD ECM (Germany) One of the greatest moments ever from bassist Miroslav Vitous – a very cool album recorded for the trippy.
  5. A great early album by this famous 70s bassist – originally issued as the album Infinite Search on Embryo, but expanded here with the additional track "Cerecka". One of the greatest moments ever from bassist Miroslav Vitous – a very cool album recorded for the trippy Vortex label! The lineup here has Miroslav working with key help from the American underground &ndash.
  6. If you're a Miroslav Vitous fan you'll love this one. If you're not a Miroslav fan, I'd suggest giving this one a try. Some of Vitous's recent albums have been disappointing to me, but this session from is great. Kenny Kirkland is on piano, John Surman on sax and bass clarinet, and Jon Christenson on drums. The playing is beautiful and 5/5(2).
